The Queen's School appoints a new Head
The Governors of The Queen's School have appointed a new Head. Mrs Sarah Clark MA, currently Deputy Head at Wellingborough School, Northamptonshire will succeed Mrs Catherine Buckley, who will be retiring this summer.
Year 7 Residential
Year 7 had great fun at the PGL site near Grantham. They worked with tremendous team spirit and forged friendships with other girls in the year.
Open Morning
The Lower School celebrated another exciting and action packed Open Morning recently. The school looked superb and the true nature of the creative programme we offer here was very evident in every room.
The Willow Classroom:  'The Twigloo'
All the girls in Key Stage One have been busy working alongside Eco Artist Jeff Allen in constructing a living willow classroom on the school field.
The Shell Chester Literature Festival
On Friday 16th October, the Queen’s School hosted a prestigious event for the Shell Chester Literature Festival. Author Kate Atkinson proved such a draw that tickets had sold out weeks in advance.
Growing success
The Queen's School was awarded a prize in the Chester in Bloom competition, 2009. Building on their success in 2008, Les Upton and his team have continued to work tirelessly to ensure that the grounds are a blaze of colour throughout the year.
