Winter Wonderland

We have had great fun at school recently, despite (or because of) the freezing weather. Lessons took on new themes: outdoor maths, PE Siberian style, and practical science. Everyone donned their coats and wrapped up warmly with gloves and hats of many colours and an amazing collection of wellingtons. As our photographs show, school is fun!

Outdoor maths – exploring shape and pattern.

Comparing shortest....... tallest.

Team building.

Teams of all ages and sizes worked together to achieve their goal.

PE, Siberian style.

Although the weather was chilly, physical challenges were very popular.

Practical science combined with design technology.

What is the most efficient way to make a big snowball?

Other science challenges included:

How can a large snowball be moved?

What make a good sledge?

Everyone was amazed when the snowmen got together for a huddle.

January 2010 will be remembered for a very long time!
